Self Worth

If you are the author of your life then you are responsible for its worth, good or bad your claim is just; if instead you constantly cheapen your worth by not accepting that authorship, then you are exactly what you have made yourself into……nothing.

I wish I washed

I wish I washed my mind today
and dried it out with moral sway
rinsed it twice with forgiveness scent
and folded it neatly with time well spent

But instead I raced around
stuck my nose right to the ground
yelled at creatures large and small
and cursed my neighbors I had gall.

So tomorrow, another day
and time to wash the dirt away
spending time with bleach and soap
rinsing twice with faith and hope

Politicians and farts

Politicians are like farts…..they seem at first to be a pleasant
release,
a necessary burst of confidence and promise
but soon you realize that perhaps you should have not allowed them
such ease of fruition,
as they have left you with no solid purpose
and too often a reason to evacuate the area…
and in some cases a need to change.
and like farts, in most cases it is even worse if they do amount to something.

Politicians and warts

Politicians are like warts……they are a virus
that digs in deep and are hard to remove and get uglier as they grow
larger and more painful the longer they are allowed to grow.

In short, like wart’s they need to be removed with an effort to get to their
… roots or they will keep coming back as ugly as ever.

I took a bath in sun today
and soaked my soul in life’s warm rays
