Freedom song (Phil Ochs inspired)

Freedom is the way!

It’s the duty of a nation to defend itself from subjugation
I am trying every one to tell
But if you’re waiting, sitting right back there, letting the government raise your taxes                  Then you chose to be under their spell
It’s the job of every person to hold out against the liberal poison
Spewed by elitists propagandists every day

One must stand and hold on firm to
What our fathers gave their lives for
Or our liberty and freedom just slips away
Get your but off of the couch now
Declare your purpose with a shout out
America is the land where freedom is the way!

It’s a reasonable base instruction, to defend your self from self destruction
I am trying every one to tell
Elitist bankers and investors, have stolen money and your taxes
Creating mostly economic hell
It’s the job of every person to secure themselves from progressive dogma
Spewed by elitist propagandists every day

One must stand and hold on firm to
What our fathers gave their lives for
Or our liberty and freedom just slips away
Get your but off of the couch now
Declare your purpose with a shout out
America is the land where freedom is the way!

Don’t let commie Marxist liars change the country with their fire
Burning quest to enslave and to destroy
They’ve set themselves up as your rulers, but they’re really pompous jailers
Throwing us in dungeons with a ploy
Wake your neighbor at the danger and teach your family freedoms message Otherwise your children they will pay

One must stand and hold on firm to
What our fathers gave their lives for
Or our liberty and freedom just slips away
Get your but off of the couch now
Declare your purpose with a shout out
America is the land where freedom is the way!

A few more years of  abomination will enslave even the best of nations
In the chains of everlasting debt
Nancy, Harry and Obama, they have found their instant Kahma
And are preparing all of us a cell
In the place where freedom once flew they will act against what we once knew Spewing elitist propaganda every day

One must stand and hold on firm to
What our fathers gave their lives for
Or our liberty and freedom just slips away
Get your but off of the couch now
Declare your purpose with a shout out
America is the land where freedom is the way!

It has been said we are a nation, under God was our declaration
I am trying every one to tell
We must regain our lost perspective get our selves back to the message
Liberty and freedom we must sell
Or are days they will be numbered for accepting Obama’s blunders
Spewing elitist propaganda every day

One must stand and hold on firm to
What our fathers gave their lives for
Or our liberty and freedom just slips away
Get your but off of the couch now
Declare your purpose with a shout out
America is the land where freedom is the way!

One must stand and hold on firm to
What our fathers gave their lives for
Or our liberty and freedom just slips away
Get your but off of the couch now
Declare your purpose with a shout out
America is the land where freedom must hold sway!

The Hero

Who was that hero that passed this way?

Was he a teacher, a doctor?

A firefighter?

…no I am afraid not

Who was that hero that passed this way then?

Was he strong?

Was he true?

..Yes true blue

Was he honest, was he caring

Yes and I think, even daring

Then who was this hero that passed this way

Was he a senator?

Was he the president, an Officer?

An athlete?

No I am afraid not

Well tell me, tell me please

Was he a man of honor?

Was he a man of courage?

Did you get to meet him?

Did you know him?

Or even

Shake his hand?

Well let me tell you

This hero was beside me

When I was weak

And gave me all that I have become

He created comfort in a world that offers little

He taught me how to share this greatness with others

And how to love some one

He gave this gift to my brothers

He lived it every day

He never boasted of his grandeur though we all new his gifts

He kept me safe and taught me life

If it weren’t for him I’d never overcome strife

Did I shake his hand?

Of course I did

That was my old man.

Fades the Impact

In recent memories

Of past heart swells,

A place perhaps to linger,

but for the tolling bell.

A gentle forced reminder,

That love has met its knell

Time fades the impact

Where the present casts its spell

The Path

I see the path vaguely now that leads me through the fog, beyond the smoke, the ethereal gas, destinies chaotic bog.
Peer I to see beyond the scope of limited present vision, hope lifts my mind far away outside this mysterious prison.
Perceptions bleak when compasses fail but destiny beckons on, what wonders exist at the climactic edge, where the light reveals the dawn.

What makes a man?

What makes a man?

Is it the value he puts upon himself his deeds or his word, or is it the value others attached to his persona?

Is a man a thing when he does nothing, or must he accomplish something of value so others can make the judgment of his worth?

Must a man be something useful, or helpful or responsible to the needs of others to be called a man, or is just being on earth suffice?

Is a man, who takes what he wants, gives what he wants, a gracious man, or is a man who gives from his own worth readily a man to be reckoned with?

Men have come and gone, can we count on one hand the ones that measured up or do we call them all men because they lacked a way to be measured by default?

Are all men equal, do they possess nothing of unequal value or use, are they all the same?

Does the man who recognizes folly and avoids it better equipped to lead other men, or is folly and surviving it the road to wisdom?

What does make a man….a man, the giving or the taking?

Beware of the Socialist

Beware of the Socialist with a cure; his addiction to power is great, his need for your value is greater

and suppression of worth cures no societal ills

as corruption is the disease in all matters

Beer Explained

When beer is made it is the combining of water, grains, sugars, flowers and yeast, with just the right mixture one gets a soothing refreshing experience ……similarly life is made of water, seeds, sweets, pretty things and organisms, and it too in the right measure can bring on a soothing experience.

So let’s compare the two.

Mix together all the ingredients, let mingle and wait long enough for the elements  to form together new allegiances and positions where they find themselves to be most comfortable and you will have a lesson on life or a recipe for Beer.

In the middle you get the vibrant active sought after desirable thing to be, the useless or sediment sinks to the bottom and the empty bubbly excrement, the head, created from useful activity rises to the top. Some would consider this that the scum rises to the top, and that is partly true but what it is in fact is a needed byproduct to excite the beers flavor and can easily be eliminated with a gust of wind.

Pretty much like civilization itself, the effervescent concoction dancing around on top, hampering you from realizing the joy and pleasures of the desired elixir, can be judged as too thick or too gassy, or just in the way to enjoy the real substance we call life, can fortunately be discarded with a change in the wind.

I’m off to enjoy a cold one and contemplate the wisdom of BEER.

Leadership

True leadership is by inspiration and example setting

but when average men are predominant,

legislation will become the default setting,

brought on by the shear lack of candidates

with inspiring character.

Rainbow’s End

There was a time, when I had money
to give away, when I felt sunny
but now I’ve lost my little sack
confiscated by Barack

soon I’ll be, the one in need
reduced to a  dependent, at his heed
I wonder why,  history has said
That war was fought, making slavery dead

There was a time, when I had money
to give away, when I felt sunny
but now I’ve lost my little sack
confiscated by Barack

Debt increased, to some odd trillion
giving away, another billion
confiscating another company
government bailout, we don’t get any

There was a time, when I had money
to give away, when I felt sunny
but now I’ve lost my little sack
confiscated by Barack

At the end of the rainbow arch
is where the government ought to march
chasing imagined figures with glee
safe from their pick pocketing, you and me

There was a time, when I had money
to give away, when I felt sunny
but now I’ve lost my little sack
confiscated by Barack

help us a little, oh leprechaun
foil this government’s, preposterous con
trap them in, their massive lies
let rainbows fill, the endless skies

There was a time, when I had money
to give away, when I felt sunny
but now I’ve lost my little sack
confiscated by Barack

Soon they’ll search, every rainbow’s end
wasting their energy as they do spend
chasing rainbows in the skies
blind to reality and their own demise

There was a time, when I had money
to give away, when I felt sunny
but now I’ve lost my little sack
confiscated by Barack

Don’t in life, be trusting the absurd
at least with leprechauns, not in their word
That if you give them, trillions from your sack
That some how like magic, you’ll be getting it all back

Heaven’s Door

Heaven’s Door

At heavens door we do stand, un-knowing, invisible, but there it stands
Angels sing from behind that door, yet some will hear it not
Intoxicating smells of fruits and berries, leaves and exotic blooms
Permeate the heavensphere, exceeding the rarest perfumes

Every day we look around, thinking we have found the path
That leads us to that elusive door and declares its resting spot
But we are blind and we are deaf and we have yet to smell
The difference of what lies in heaven as compared to what’s in hell

So my friends, please look around and take a lasting gasp
At all that is and what will be, significant to yourself
In shortened time, we’ll pass beyond, discovering that wayward door
And rest a spell and find out soon, if in forever we’ll live some more.

At heavens door we do stand, un-knowing, invisible, but there it stands
Angels sing from behind that door, yet some will hear it not
Intoxicating smells of fruits and berries, leaves and exotic blooms
Permeate the heavensphere, let’s hope they still have rooms.
